Alif Naaba Live at Alliance Francaise
Hope you are having a terrific Monday.
It’s a new month -June – which happens to be my favorite month because I get to celebrate my birthday (June 4th) and that of my niece and two nephews. ALL HAIL JUNE BABIES!!:) I like to call them June Bugs. Did I mention that I happen to share my birthday with Angeline Jolie? Isn’t she lucky to share such an awesome day with someone as cool as me? I was not super excited when my birthday came round this year. I had great plans and things I thought I would have achieved by the time I reached age X, but with all things life, things rarely go according to plan. I am grateful though for how far I have come and for another year and a chance to celebrate with those near and dear to me. I also realized it’s all about perspective. I may not be where I wanna be, but I am not where I used to be and that for me, means a lot.
Now, photos. Yes, its another live gig. From the site stats I can tell that most you prefer engagement/wedding photos so I will try and blog more photos from such shoots. I found out about this gig from the Nairobi Now site and decided to check it out. I love West African music and when I saw the artiste was from Burkina Faso, I made a date and I went out with a Canon 40D and my brand new 50mm f/1.8 lens. I am crazy about the 50mm lens but I am learning the hard way that at f/1.8, you get a lot of blur, even where you don’t want it. I have been advised not to go below f/2.2 for better results. So let me know what you think guys!!
Feel free to wish me a happy birthday by the way. (@Wamuyuk) MPESA gifts are encouraged
